Welcome!

Man, this took a long time. Almost twenty years since my last book and almost two years since I started this one.

In September 2023 I sat down to put the odd story of my first World Series game on paper, mostly as a writing exercise, and partly because the story is so weird and funny that I wanted to get it out and share with my family. I’m a Philadelphia Phillies fan and have been since 1979. I like other things, but I live and die with the Phillies.

As I started to write the story of the “World’s Worst World Series Game” (my son’s term for it), I started to delve back into what had gotten me to that game in the first place. Then the entire thing turned into something I wasn’t prepared for. Almost two years and 97,000 words later I am super proud to release my fourth novel, A Long Walk Home.
